Carolyn Martinez, FNP, brings over 15 years of experience as a family nurse practitioner, with expertise spanning urgent care, primary care, and cardiology. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Carolyn has dedicated her career to serving underserved communities, working in clinics and hospitals across California and New Mexico.

Over the past six years, Carolyn has increasingly focused on supporting the Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS) community, along with related conditions such as POTS, MCAS, GI dysmotility disorders, and chronic pain. She has completed EDS ECHO training through the Ehlers-Danlos Society and has helped identify, diagnose, and treat numerous individuals with EDS. In addition to her clinical work, Carolyn has trained colleagues to recognize and care for patients with EDS, further advancing awareness and care within the medical community.

Carolyn earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of California, San Francisco, and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University, where she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. Known for her empathetic approach, she ensures her patients feel seen, heard, and supported as they navigate complex medical conditions.

Carolyn’s dedication, clinical expertise, and commitment to improving care make her a trusted advocate for the EDS community.
