Dr. Sujana Reddy, DO

Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine

Dr. Sujana Reddy is a dedicated physician whose personal health journey has deeply influenced her approach to medicine. Diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome at the age of 28, Dr. Reddy's persistence in advocating for her own health highlighted the importance of patient empowerment and understanding. Her battle with long-term effects of COVID-19 further underscored the complexities of chronic illness, enriching her perspective as both a practitioner and a survivor.  She is particularly driven to support individuals with postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS), Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) and Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS).

Dr. Reddy earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2021. Beyond her medical endeavors, Dr. Reddy is an active participant in community service and advocacy. She serves on the board of Awareness For Potsies, striving to raise awareness and support for individuals with POTS. Dr. Reddy has been featured in National Geographic, Science, and Women's Health Magazine.

"I was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome at the age of 28. If it wasn’t for my medical background, but more importantly my persistence that something was wrong with my body, I wouldn’t have this diagnosis. I’m a long-covid patient and this virus has made my underlying condition more debilitating. My health journey has made me a better doctor because it opened my eyes to a different realm of chronic illness that is not taught in medical school or residency."
