Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders
Hypermobility spectrum disorders (HSD) are connective tissue disorders that are very similar to Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and other types of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. It can cause joint hypermobility, instability, injury, and pain. Other problems such as fatigue, headaches, GI problems, and autonomic dysfunction are often seen as part of HSD. Symptoms of Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders are not necessarily more or lesss severe than other forms of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.
Like most cases of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders cannot be identified through genetic testing. Our clinicians will work with you and your care team to evaluate you and develop a comprehensive plan to mitigate your symptoms through a combination of both medication, supplements, lifestyle changes, and diet.
