Sarah Rightmire

Sarah is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health in Health Policy Analysis and Evaluation at the University of Maryland, College Park, building upon her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Disability Studies from Chapman University.
Since her diagnosis with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome in 2015, followed by POTS and MCAS, Sarah has been actively engaged in advocacy and community support. She has championed the cause for individuals with Primary Immunodeficiency and Dysautonomia, collaborating closely with members of Congress to advance accessible healthcare and research funding. Additionally, Sarah established "The Real Zebras of Orange County" a support group catering to individuals with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), and Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS), orchestrating educational initiatives and distributing essential care packages within the community.
