About The EDS Clinic

The EDS Clinic is revolutionizing EDS care with a digital clinic model that provides easy, convenient access to an integrated care team that takes an evidence-based, multi-disciplinary approach to diagnosing, managing and treating digestive health conditions. Our care team is composed of DOs, MDs, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Dietitians, Licensed Clinical Social Workers and Health Coaches work together to manage patients with EDS related conditions toward long-term, sustainable condition relief and symptom control.

We take time to get to know each patient, develop a personalized, whole-person care plan that includes identification of symptom triggers and prescription of evidence-based interventions, including medications, dietary changes, and psychological interventions such as CBT. Our care is delivered virtually through our app, via secure messaging and telehealth visits. We are seeking a Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist (LCSW, LICSW, PsyD, other similar credentials) to provide EDS, MCAS, and POTS focused psychological services (e.g. CBT). As a core member of the clinical team, you will have access to ongoing training and support from a EDS focused clinical team (MD, NPs, Registered Dietitian, Health Coaches, etc.) to help you develop a working knowledge of EDS related health conditions (PoTS, MCAS, IBS, GERD, SIBO, etc) and implement EDS focused psychological services. Your role will complement services provided by other members of the care team.

What you’ll do

Utilize evidence based clinical interventions (including but not limited to CBT, Motivational Interviewing) to improve the member’s emotional and mental wellbeing to drive their achievement of their care plan goals.
Complete assessments to design and implement relevant and concrete goals that support clients in achieving meaningful outcomes related to their chronic condition(s).
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of care providers (including MDs, Health Coaches, Dietitians) to provide a comprehensive and coordinated approach to member care
Initiate and maintain health records and encounters in electronic health records and comply with guidelines outlined within company clinical protocols and other related manuals.
Participate in professional training activities to maintain and clinical coordination meetings with other care team members

What you’ll bring to the team

Active license by a State Board to practice independently as a licensed provider (e.g., LCSW, LICSW, LPC, PsyD, or similar credentials). Multi-state licensure is highly valued.
Doctoral or Masters Degree in psychology, counseling, social work or other relevant field.
Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience delivering Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and/or Psychodynamic therapy (experience with EDS, POTS, MCAS or other chronic condition focused psychology is a plus)
Ability to succeed in a highly coordinated, cross-functional team environment and communicate effectively with other care providers (e.g., Physician, Psychologist, Health Coach, Dietitian)
Comfortable with using common administrative technologies (e.g. Zoom, Slack, Office or equivalent), charting electronically, experience delivering on telehealth platforms preferred
Winning attitude and a strong desire to provide high-quality, virtual-based EDS care for patients
