Interstitial Cystitis
Interstitial Cystitis, also known as painful bladder syndrome, is a chronic condition characterized by bladder pressure, bladder pain, and, sometimes, pelvic pain. Unlike urinary tract infections, IC is not caused by bacteria and does not typically respond to antibiotics. The exact cause of IC is unclear, but it may involve a defect in the bladder lining, an immune response, or nerve sensitivity. Our clinicians can assist with a personalized treatment plan that may include lifestyle modifications, dietary adjustments, medications, and bladder training to help manage symptoms and improve daily function.
