Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD)
Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder is a severe form of premenstrual syndrome (PMS) that causes intense mood-related symptoms, often disrupting daily life. Symptoms typically occur in the luteal phase of the menstrual cycle (the week or two before menstruation begins) and improve within a few days after menstruation starts. The exact cause is not fully understood but is thought to involve abnormal responses to hormonal changes. Our clinicians can work with you to create a treatment plan for some aspects of PMDD and related conditions, which may include lifestyle adjustments, dietary changes, and medications to help manage symptoms effectively.
