Dr. Kendra Lucas, PT, DPT

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Dr. Kendra Lucas, PT, DPT, NBC-HWC, MCWC is a Physical Therapist and Lifestyle Medicine Coach. She brings years of experience and a genuine passion for helping people with chronic pain to restore function and improve their quality of life.

After years of training with Cincinnati Ballet, her dreams of becoming a professional ballet dancer came to an end after suffering a back injury. Fascinated by kinesiology and anatomy, she pursued physical therapy school, which actually led to her PT professors identifying her hypermobility. This resulted in finding answers to years of recurrent joint dislocations and chronic pain with a formal diagnosis of Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS) and Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS).

Dr. Lucas takes a holistic approach to treating hypermobility disorders and believes effective treatments must target the body, mind, and personal habits!

Dr. Lucas completed her Bachelor of Science in Human Biology degree in 2013 at Kettering College and earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2016 at the University of Dayton. She is a Master Certified Wellness Coach through Catalyst Coaching Institute and has been a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach since 2023. She achieved her Lifestyle Medicine Coach Certificate through the American College of Lifestyle Medicine/Wellncoaches and her Integrative & Lifestyle Medicine Certificate through Integrative Pain Science Institute. She is a HeartMath® Certified Practitioner specializing in clinical biofeedback and nervous system regulation, and she is a specialty trained POTS Provider.

“A spoonful of strength. That's what I hope to give to every single person I work with. The most powerful encounters that I've ever had in the clinic have been those vulnerable moments sharing my personal journey, and the look in my patients’ eyes when they realize they've finally found a provider who gets it. What a beautiful gift to radiate hope and journey alongside fellow ‘zebras.’ Together, we are stronger.”
